For those of you who have yet to hear the grievous story of my old blog’s premature death, here it is in brief. Basically, the contract of my previous host expired before I had the chance to export all my posts to a new site. The result: almost 4 years worth of posts gone forever. As it turned out, I missed the delete deadline by less than an hour. Once I realised there was absolutely no way to retrieve the lost data, naturally much freaking-out ensued. However, after a period of depression and mourning, I have decided to move on and build a new blog based on the theme, “So ist das Leben,” which translates to “Such is life” auf Englisch, also commonly interpreted as, “Life sucks, deal with it.” Sums up the fate of my last blog beautifully.
